Pyramids & Tents
These
structures can be highly efficient and cover very big spans with minimum
ground loading. They will resist wind, snow and earthquakes. Hagia Sofia
and the Sulevian Marquee (which REIDsteel did not build, and which are not
steel framed, but do now have a lot of tensile steel reinforcement) are
marvelous endorsements of the dome principle.
They can be used as conference centres,
parliaments, majlis, sports halls and so on.
